Outstanding food has always been a cornerstone of the warm and friendly Northumbrian hospitality to be found at The Percy Arms and Fiona and David Munro take particular pride in continuing a tradition to which they have successfully introduced their own culinary expertise.

In October of 2006, The Percy Arms gained its first National Award by winning "Best Bar Food" at the prestigious Union Pub Company Awards of Excellence held at the Alton Towers Hotel.

Visitors are welcome to eat in either the lounge area, the "New End" or, for those preferring a more formal atmosphere, the impressive oak panelled restaurant. The Restaurant, New End and part of the lounge area are non-smoking. On the 1st of July, 2007, the Percy Arms will become a completely and strictly non-smoking establishment.

No matter where you choose to eat, the menu and prices are the same. There is a superb a la carte menu to choose from and a daily changing specials board to further extend the large choice of dishes available.

Wherever possible it is our policy to use locally produced and locally sourced fresh ingredients in our menu and all our Beef is locally reared Northumbrian with our Lamb being traceable Glendale Lamb. Our Children's Menu contains no "processed" meat and is homemade.
